Lia Saralidze
Executive Director
Lia Saralidze is a clinical pediatrician, graduated the faculty of pediatrics of the Tbilisi State Medical Institute. She has passed residency in Scientific-Research Institute of Pediatrics. Over the years Lia has been working in Tbilisi Pimen Kurashvili Children's Hospital # 1. Lia is co-founder and executive director of the Public Health Foundation of Georgia.  (See more)
Mariam Maskhulia
Project Coordinator

Mariam Maskhulia holds Master’s degrees in International Relations from Tbilisi State University (2002) and in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex, UK (2008). Mariam has written and passed with distinction an MA thesis on Poverty, Development and International Assistance and Co-operation. Mariam has passed an internship on child rights protection issues at the Defence for Children - ECPAT the Netherlands. In different periods Mariam took part in the learning programs on “Strengthening the implementation of human rights treaty body recommendations at the national level”, organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. affected by violence in Georgia.

Ketevan Davitishvili
Pediatrician, project coordinator
Ketevan Davitishvili has graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute and is a pediatrician by profession. She has passed residency in Scientific-Research Institute of Pediatrics. Over the years Ketevan has been working in Tbilisi Pimen Kurashvili Children's Hospital # 1. Ketevan led lectures at different medical educational institutions on child’s development and care issues. Davit Khuchua
Social worker.. service manager
Davit Khuchua is a medical doctor by profession and has graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical Institute. Davit is certified social worker. He has passed a training course in the health management, provided by the Oxford Policy Management Group. In different periods Davit has worked at Ivane Beritashvili Institute of Physiology, emergency service “Ardi”, ski school for children under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, etc. (See more)
Ketevan Margalitadze
Ketevan Margalitadze is a lawyer specialized in civil law. Graduated from Davit Bakradze Law and Economic Institute and received LLM degree. Ketevan worked as legal associate at the legal aid center under the Georgian Young Lawyers Association. She has passed “Trial Advocacy Skills Course” provided by the American Bar Association and Central European and Eurasian Law Imitative, also training organized by the UNICEF on the “Monitoring of the Rights of the Child”, etc. (See more)
Tamar Gigitashvili

Tamar (Tatuli) Gigitashvili is a psychologist by profession. She has received her BA degree in psychology and MA degree in psychotraumatology from the Ilia State University. Tatuli is a certified trauma focused cognitive-behavioral therapist from Cardiff University and a certified EMDR therapist by the Europe EMDR society.

Finance Manager
Tamar Babakishvili works at the Public Health Foundation of Georgia on the position of Finance Manager since 2009. Tamar graduated from English sector of the National Institute ‘Ganeati” the faculty of Economic Relations. (See more)
Marina Kikaleishvili-Zhividze
Office Assistant
Marina works at the Public Health Foundation of Georgia since 2006 on the position of office assistant. Thanks to Marina there is a cozy and friendly environment in the office for all staff members and our guests. (See more)

Statement of organizations working on the rights of Internally Displaced Persons about the Shamgona Tragedy

A tragic information was disseminated today by media regarding the discovery of several dead bodies in Enguri River near the Shamgona village[1]. According to this information, the residents of Gali region were trying to trespass from the occupied territories to the controlled territory of Georgian through the Enguri River[2]. Whilst crossing it, 3 of the trespassers passed away, whilst the 4th person is missing. (See more )

Training for medical doctors: "Child Abuse – identification and response"

The Public Health Foundation of Georgia in cooperation with the Georgian Pediatrics Association on March 20 and 27 and on April 3, 2021 organized the accredited training course for pediatricians and family doctors. Training participants were awarded with the 18 points in the framework of the Continued Medical Education Program. (See more )

“Start to Talk” campaign launch in Georgia

Sexual abuse of a child in sports is an issue, which requires our attention. Sexual abuse may happen in or outside of domestic setting. Violence also takes place in sports. Victims of sexual harassment and sexual abuse in sports can be children of any age, both girls and boys. (See more )
