The goal: to promote effective protection of children by enhanced child protection and justice systems.
The specific objective: to support access to quality child-friendly justice and effective application of child-friendly approach towards child victims and witnesses of crime:
• To develop relevant guidelines, working methodology and instruments for professionals (lawyers, prosecutors, judges, investigators) to work with child victims and witnesses of crime and violence
• To develop a training package on child-friendly approaches for professionals working with child victims and witnesses of crime
• To deliver united trainings of trainers (ToT) and to strengthen capacity of relevant training centers (Police Academy, Training Centre of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Legal Aid Service, Georgian Bar Association, and the High School of Justice) through institutionalizing training materials and ensuring the continuation of trainings.
• To conduct/facilitate 10 in-depth specialization trainings for relevant professionals on specific needs of child victims and witnesses of crime in criminal justice proceedings
• To conduct separate and joint training workshops for up to 30 Victim/Witness Coordinators of the MoIA and Victim/Witness Coordinators of the General Prosecutor’s Office to work on cases involving child victims and witnesses of crime.
