Training on CAN prevention, identification and response was conducted by a multidisciplinary team of the Public Health Foundation of Georgia (PHF) on December 9-11 for the social workers and the psychologists of the Social Care Agency of Tbilisi Municipality.
The main goal of the training was to improve knowledge and skills of the trainees about the benefits of integrated approaches to preventing, detecting and responding to CAN cases.
During the three-day training, participants had the opportunity to receive information and deepen their knowledge on the main issues of child abuse, including the topics such as child sexual abuse and harmful sexual behavior, prevention of harmful sexual behavior, bio-psycho-social mechanisms of trauma and stress.
