Training on the topic: Assessment of cases of violence in children with intellectual disabilities and specialized therapeutic support”

🔹 Clinical psychologist, expert in the field of violence, sexual abuse and trauma in people with intellectual disabilities from the Netherlands, Ms. Aafke Skharlo led a 4-day training in Tbilisi on the topic “Assessment of cases of violence in children with intellectual disabilities and specialized therapeutic support”.

🔹 The training was organized within the framework of the project “Breaking down Barriers”, which is implemented by the Intrenatoonal Catholic Child Bureau – BICE, in cooperation with the Public Health Foundation of Georgia and the union “Rhea”.

The main goal of the project is to protect children with disabilities from violence and promote their social and professional integration.

The project is supported by the French Development Agency – AFD.
