Overall objective: Improve access to quality, affordable health care for Internally Displaced Persons and conflict-affected population of the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia leading to protection of human rights to health on national level.
Specific objective: facilitate inclusion of conflict-affected patients form Abkhazia, Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia and IDP community of Georgia in State Health Programs, providing free and reduced-cost health care services, through strengthening cooperation between health care workers(HCW), enhancing awareness among HCWs, CSOs, authorities and general public and encouraging collaboration.
Results:
1. IDPs and patients of the conflict–affected communities gained access to and benefited from adequate healthcare services;
2. Capacity of HCWs, local CSOs, health associations and other involved is increased to protect human right to health of conflict-affected patients (mainly women, youth and children) by assisting them to better access to free and cost-reduced State Health Programs available in Georgia;
3. Awareness and knowledge is increased on State Health Programs available in Georgia, including Hepatitis C Elimination Program, among communities from IDP, Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia.
