ADVOCACY FOR CHILD AND YOUTH PROTECTION

Project goals:
Overall goal: Improvement of child and youth welfare and protection system to prevent and provide adequate respond to child and youth victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Specific goal: Provide services to child and youth victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse by strengthening capacity and rising awareness among the professionals, local NGOs, authorities and general public
Objectives:
- Children & youth and their family members in crisis situation receive protection, psycho-social rehabilitation and support for empowerment and further social inclusion;
- Increase capacity of local NGOs, state authorities and other stakeholders to protect and support children, youth and women in crisis situations to prevent and respond domestic violence and sexual abuse;
- Enhance awareness and knowledge on domestic violence and sexual abuse, with special emphases on children with disabilities, among the public and relevant stakeholders that can guide and accelerate adequate responses.

The project is implemented by the Public Health Foundation of Georgia
Project partners are: Rehabilitation and Development Charity Centre Tanaziari, “Step Forward” and International Child Catholic Bureau (BICE). Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Child Helpline International are Associate partners of the project.
